Dare Sing Out ‘Dilly Dilly’ At The Masters & You’re Shown The Augusta Front Gates.

Augusta, GA …..

Augusta National is strictest of the strict when it becomes to patron’s behaviour.

Patrons are banned from bringing in mobile phones, bags, backpacks, step-ladders, food and drink of any kind, and also firearms.

They’re also banned from running and dare not asking for an autograph anywhere but near the practice range.

Now Augusta National is banning certain phases patrons can use including;  ‘Dilly dilly’.

Patrons have been handed a list of phases that cannot be uttered in cheering for your favourite golfer and ‘dilly, dilly’ is one.

Of course, we’ve all heard ‘In the hole’ and ‘mashed potatoes’ that is annoyingly the common call on the PGA Tour, and usually by those who’ve had far too many beverages.

But if you sing out ‘dilly dilly’ then you will find yourself being escorted from the grounds by a Pinkerton security officer.

The phrase ‘dilly dilly’ became popular after Budweiser aired an ad that featured earlier this year during Superbowl TV coverage.

The “Dilly Dilly” phrase in medieval-themed Bud Light commercials is used by a king and his loyal subjects as a toast or affirmation similar to “hear, hear!”

It’s all just another ‘don’t’ on the getting-longer list of what you can’t do within the Augusta National grounds.
