Denmark are the world team golfing champions after capturing the inaugural Golf Sixes event and some six months after being crowned World Cup winners.
The Danish team of Thorbjorn Olesen and countryman Lucas Bjerregaard were conceded victory on the final hole to win 3 & 1 over Australian rivals Scott Hend and Sam Brazel.
Olesen had teamed with the leading Danish golfer, Søren Kjeldsen last November in Melbourne, Australia and now he is a double team winner in playing alongside Bjerregaard.
The Danes had earlier birdied the last to beat Italy’s Matteo Manassero and Renato Paratore 2-1 in their semi-final.
