After the near complete wash-out on day three of the 2016 BMW International Open we ventured afterwards down to the banks of the mighty Rhein River lying just a very short walking distance from our hotel in Dusseldorf.

The air was fresh after rain for much of the day and we many, many people out just enjoying the early evening.

The Rhine River itself was busy with barge traffic and also flowing very, very fast and a little swollen by the rains.

But as we walked in search of a restaurant we enjoyed a superb sunset unfolding over the Rhine and the 1976 constructed Oberkassel Bridge.
