• Extends his remarkable record in the BMW International Open. Apart from winning in 2006, this latest performance is his sixth consecutive top ten finish in the BMW International Open. Was tied ninth in 2011, tied sixth in 2012, tied tenth in 2013, tied second in 2014, second in 2015 and first in 2016.

• Overall this victory is his eighth top ten during his 13 appearances in the BMW International Open.

• The second European Tour event he has won twice, following the DP World Tour Championship, Dubai, in 2013-2014.

• Becomes the first player to win the BMW International Open at two different courses.
