Star-Gazing Jimmy Walker Dreaming Of Scottish Open Success.

Star-gazing new Valero Texas Open winner Jimmy Walker revealed he’s already dreaming of victory in this year’s Aberdeen Assert Management Scottish Open at Gullane.
 
Walker, 34 confirmed he will return to Scotland after claiming a second PGA Tour title this season in winning by four shots the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio.
 
In January the quietly-spoken Texan, who was a member of last year’s losing USA Ryder Cup side, captured the Sony Open in Hawaii and is the first player with multiple wins this year in the States.

And victory has seen Walker muscle his way to a career high of No. 10 in the world and just a week before he returns to Augusta National where he shared eighth place on debut a year ago.

 
But before spending yesterday and today (TUES) at Augusta for practiced alongside Rickie Fowler and his Gleneagles Foursomes and Fourballs partner, Walker spoke of his delight in heading to Scotland in July.
 
“Oh yes, the Scottish Open is very much on my horizon,” he said.
 
“I haven’t played Gullane but having such strong connections with the owners of the Renaissance Club so I know exactly where Gullane is.
 
“And having driven past it so often it’s a course I’ve always wanted to play so I guess I will get that chance in July.”
 
Walker has a telescope, camera and computer set up at 7,300 feet in the mountains of New Mexico allowing him remotely operate the telescope and take photos via his lap top or mobile phone.
 
In fact, NASA has recognized Walker’s talent using two of his photographs as their ‘Astronomy Picture of the Day’.
