Matteo Manassero & Dave McNeilly End Three Year Relationship.

Irish-born caddy Dave McNeilly is on the lookout for a new bag after he and Italy’s Matteo Manassero agreed to part.

The decision came when the 21-year old, and four-time Tour winning Manassero missed the halfway cut for a second week in a row here in Doha.

And the young Italian was clearly in no mood for a fireside chat looking very unhappy after two rounds in Qatar.

Manassero, who has also slumped to No. 158th in the world, also sat out the weekend rounds of his closing two events of 2014.

McNeilly began calling the shots for Manassero at the end of 2011 when the then 18-year was ranked 44th in the world, and with the Belfast-born bagman then helping steer the Italian stallion to victory in the 2012 Barclays Singapore Open and 2013 BMW PGA Championship.

And the affable McNeilly should have no trouble picking up another bag given his outstanding caddying career.

Prior to McNeilly, Castlerock’s Ryan McGuigan caddied for Manassero.
