David Higgins Nosedives 10 Shots On Day Two Of Hong Kong Open.

After producing his second best score of his European Tour career Ireland’s David Higgins nosedived down the leader board on day two of the Hong Kong Open.

Higgins was riding on day one after a first round 64 and he best Tour round since posting a 62  in a 2001 event in Spain.

However the Waterville golfer let slip his superb start to his first event of the 2014 wraparound start to a new season with a shock 74 that saw him plummet 27 to a share of 28th place.

And on the day the world mourned the passing of former South African President Nelson Mandela it seemed only fitting a- South African should be leading with pint-size Jbe Kruger heading the Fanling field adding a 66 to his opening 67 to lead the field by a shot at seven under par.

Welshman Stuart Manley, who was robbed of a brand new Mercedes for an ace during the recent World Cup of Golf at Royal Melbourne, is in second place with a second straight 67 for a six under par total.
