Woods Dumped As Augusta Favourite

Leading UK William Hill has dumped Tiger Woods as favourite to win this year’s Masters.

Rory Mcllroy is now the 11/4 hot favourite to win a first green jacket at the half way stage after an excellent second round 69.

Lee Westwood is 6/1 and three time Masters winner Phil Mickelson is 9/1 after he played himself back into the tournament.

Sergio Garcia with a second round 68 and tied with McIlroy, Westwood and Mickelson on four under par is at 16/1 to win a first Major.

Woods was the great disappointment said William Hill and his odds of winning a 15th Majors is now  is 33/1 after a second round 75.

“Before the start of the tournament we decided to take on Mcllroy not Tiger and at the half way stage that is not looking like the correct one. But you write off Tiger at your peril and if anyone can get back into it he is the man,” said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams.

12/1 Bubba Watson.

16/1 Sergio Garcia, Louis Oosthuizen and Jason Dufner.

25/1 Matt Kucher and Fred Couples.

33/1 Nick Watney.

35/1 Miguel Jimenez.

50/1 Paul Lawerie and Aaron Baddley.

66/1 Ben Crane, Hunter Mahan, Justin Rose, Peter Hanson, Charles Howell and Henrik Stenson.
