Al Badia Golf Club – Saving The Best For Last.

Al Badia is one of the newest clubs in Dubai.

It is a very challenging 18-hole par 72 course linked with the Intercontinental Hotel and located in Dubai’s Festival City.

The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones and where water comes into play on some 14 holes.

I joined Stuart Adams from www.golftourimages.com and Eoin Clarke from www.golffile.ie last Saturday, and ahead of the third round in the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, in tackling the course.

We were first out at 6.40am and after dunking a couple of balls in the water at the par three, 11th hole imagine my joy in getting a very, very favourable bounce off rocks at the last and then walk off some three-and-a-half hours later with a birdie.

So thanks to Abi Badia for hosting the three of us and also thanks to Stuart for organising the outing.

Here is a selection of snaps with thanks to Eoin from the morning.

Near the second tee and overlooking the Al Badia clubhouse.

On the 11th tee and seconds away from making a splash.
