Padraig Harrington laughed off a freak injury, and what he first believed could have been career threatening, as just another enforced “holiday”.
The injury occurred Monday of the FedEx St. Jude Classic when Harrington was hosting a corporate clinic in the Washington D C area.
Harrington later received six stitches right on the point of his left elbow ruling him out of the Memphis event and forcing him to return home.

Triple Major winning Padraig Harrington returned to competition after a freak elbow injury shooting a Travelers first round 66 in Connecticut and confirming he will contest next month’s Scottish Open at Dundonald Links.
Harrington had to have six stitches inserted into an injury on the point of his elbow and while he said the bone is still sensitive there is no real outside evidence of any injury aside from a very small scratch of sorts.

Daniel Hammond rode a hot start to break free from the chasing pack and win The Roar, the third and final event on the MENA Tour’s South Africa swing, co-sanctioned with the Sunshine Big Easy Tour, at Waterkloof Golf Club on Thursday.
