Former Italian teenage sensation Matteo Manassero has ended a seven-year winless drought to capture the Toscana Alps Open on the Alps Tour.
Manassero holed a birdie putt on the last to win for a first time since capturing 2013 since capturing the European Tour’s flagship BMW PGA Championship.

Shane Lowry superbly birdied his closing two holes to muscle his way into the weekend rounds of the U.S. Open at Winged Foot.
Lowry posted a gutsy level par 70 to remain at five-over par and head to the clubhouse then sharing 84th place and then right on the halfway cut line.
