The Scottish trio of Robert MacIntyre, Martin Laird and Russell Knox will be seeking less difficult scoring conditions heading into this week’s PGA Tour flagship Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass at Tour HQ in Ponte Vedre

The Rory McIlroy roar was somewhat muffled on day two but he remains very much in frame heading to the weekend rounds of the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando.

Martin Laird celebrated the first round of the 10th anniversary of his 2011 victory and set about ending a run of three missed cuts with a three-under par 69 on day one of the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill in suburban Orlando.
