Sandy Lyle ended his 100th Major with Masters rounds of 82 and 76 and is promising to make it 101 Majors ‘for his family’ in teeing-up at next year’s 87th Masters.
The 64-year-old former Masters Champion, and again decked-out wearing braces, managed just three birdies over the two days to finish well down the field with a 14-over-par tally.
For the double major champion, and with Lyle winning the 1985 Open along with the 1988 Masters, it’s the ninth occasion in succession ...
Tiger Woods Remarkably Under Par 508 Days After Last Competitive Round
It’s an even more remarkable story that not only did Tiger Woods tee up at Augusta National but 508-days since the last competitive round he proudly walked off with a round of 71 on the opening day of the 86th Masters.
On the 25th anniversary of a maiden Masters, and some 14-months after his near-fatal car crash, Woods was just five shots from the lead early in the rain-delayed maiden major of the year.
Wearing the brightest of bright pink shirts, Wood captured those walking the course, and ...
Augusta Chairman Confirms Mickelson Withdraws From The Masters Of His Own Accord
Augusta National chairman, Fred Ridley has confirmed Phil Mickelson was not expelled from this year’s 86th Masters and, in fact, he withdrew on his own accord.

It is not known what reason Mickelson gave to Ridley but it is quite clear Mickelson’s highly-controversial comments about the Saudi-backed ...

Lyle, the winner of the 1985 Open and 1988 Masters, is celebrating his 41st Masters however he’s missed the cut ...

Rory McIlroy is the very last out today (Thurs) at Augusta National but he’s hoping a new golf ball can propel him to the top of the Masters leader-board.
A major championship may seem a strange time to be putting a new golf ball into play but if it helps McIlroy get fitted with an Augusta National member’s green jacket then well and good.
Indeed, McIlroy revealed he put a new golf ball in the bag for last Friday’s second round of the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio.
McIlroy was already struggling ...

Weather permitting those golfers teeing up in the 86th hosting of the Masters have till 3 pm today (local time) to wind up their preparations ahead of the championship.
It will be a case of the old tournament golf saying: “If you haven’t got your game sorted out by now, then it’s good luck!”

Tiger & Bernie – Twenty-Seven Years Since Their Maiden Masters
Question! What does Tiger Woods have in common with Bernie McGuire?
Absolutely nothing I hear you laughingly shout. Well, you’re wrong!
This year marks the 27th anniversary that Tiger and myself made our Masters debut. Tiger was the then U.S. Amateur champion, having won the first of what would be three straight championship titles.
Your Aussie-born author was then, and still is, a struggling 15-handicapper at Crail in Scotland, arriving at Augusta National having been accredited by the ...
