Tour Miss Inspects Hamilton Grand, St. Andrews – Marvelously Restored To Its Victorian Grandeur.
During last week’s Alfred Dunhill Links Championship I was fortunate along with other members of the media to visit Hamilton Grand, St. Andrews.
Hamilton Grand has just been restored by the Kohler Company who have brought this most photographed building back to its Victorian grandeur.
The building had been first commissioned by Thomas Hamilton after the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews (R & A) rejected his membership application.
His Grand Hotel opened in 1895 with £80,000 invested ...

One of the pleasures in traveling to Switzerland for this week’s Omega European Masters is to be afforded the courtesy of playing the Jack Nicklaus designed 9-hole course just across the main street in Crans Montana from the main tournament venue.

As you have gathered from an earlier story three of us jumped into the car early on Saturday morning to visit Niagara Falls around 100 miles from where we have been residing here in the Rochester area.
I have had the occasion to visit the Falls twice before in both summer and winter so it was withe some eagerness I was keen for a return inspection.

In recent years a visit to Akron and the WGC – Bridgestone Invitational has meant a journey down the water’s edge of the Tuscarawas River.
There’s a lot of bars and restaurants and on Saturday night the area was really buzzing not only with patrons but there was a gleaming yellow hot rod in the car park along with an array of motor bikes while there was a constant stream of traffic out on the river.

For the majority of players competing this week in Akron it now means heading north to up-State New York and begin preparations for Thursday’s starting PGA Championship at Oak Hill in Rochester.
