It is the first occasion in a Major that the current World No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 have ever missed the cut in a Major since the World Rankings began in April 1989.

Andrew “Beef” Johnston who booked his place for the weekend and thanks, in part, to four hand delivered peanut and jelly sandwiches on route to 73 to be inside the then top-30 at two-under par.
“Beef” had been up early for his 7.18am tee time but forgot to stock up on sustenance, so much so, his manager grabbed four sandwiches from the Player’s Lounge and met Johnston on the tenth tee.
