The Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open could be headed east of Edinburgh for a first ever occasion and with Gullane N0. 1 high on the European Tour’s list.
Since the inaugural event in 1972 the tournament has been staged at just six venues from the inaugural event at Downfield to the Old Course at St. Andrews, Haggs Castle, Gleneagles, Loch Lomond and for the past three years at Castle Stuart in Inverness.

Tiger Woods Shows Respect For Founder Of Turkish Republic.
Lost in yesterday’s final round of the Turkish Airlines Open was the mark of respect displayed by 14-time Major winning Tiger Woods to Mustafa Kemal Atuturk – the founder of the Republic of Turkey.
His surname means ‘The Father of the Turks’ and Sunday marked the anniversary of Atuturk’s passing on 10th November, 1938.
Atuturk was the famed military officer who commanded the Turkish Army in their defeat of Allied forces, including Australian and New Zealand troops, at Gallipoli.

There was no Turkish delight for a tired-sounding Padraig Harrington after he failed to qualify for this week’s final event in the 2013 Race to Dubai.

Sweden’s Henrik Stenson could be in doubt for the final event on the 2013 Race to Dubai – the DP World Tour Championship.
The Swede shot a final Turkish Airlines Open three under par 69 to share seventh place on 18-under par.
