Padraig Harrington was pleased a new putting alignment lasted a full 18 holes after recording a two under par 70 on the opening day of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Martin Laird bounced back from missing the cut last week at Hilton Head with a rock solid two under par 70 on the opening day of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

A record number of 10,127 entries have been received for this year’s U.S. Open Championship to be held from June 12th to 15th June at Pinehurst No. 2.
The number is 267 more than the record of 9,860 set last year for the 2013 U.S. Open at Merion.
