Camels By The Hundreds At Al Shahaniya Camel Racetrack, Qatar …. See The Video & Photographs.
You have never seen so many camels, well I haven’t, since we actually stumbled upon the village of Al Shahaniya, where Qatar’s popular camel racetrack is situated.
To be honest, we were looking for a unique car museum but then found ourselves gripped by the sight of so many camels.
It was about a 45-minute drive out into the desert from Doha and with professional camel racking having begun in Qatar in 1972.
Eoin Clarke and I wandered about the camel paddock taking photographs and recording ...
Doha Golf Club – Enjoying The Course 17 Years After A First Visit To The Qatar Capital (Photo Slideshow).
Much has changed in Doha in 17 years.
Walking the Doha Golf Club course inside-the-ropes on the day after the 2016 Commercial Bank Qatar Masters was nothing like the vista when I first attended the tournament in 1999, and a year after the inaugural event.
There was no skyline ‘distractions’ back then and just a stunning desert design layout on the very outskirts of the city of Doha.
However in that period natural gas and oil was discovered in Qatar resulting in Doha undergoing a remarkable ...

Korea’s Younghan Song survived a ‘crazy’ sleepless night by fending off the spirited challenge of world number one Jordan Spieth to win the US$1 million SMBC Singapore Open by one-shot on Monday.
Inclement weather had caused multiple delays during the week, forcing the Singapore showpiece into a Monday finish at the Sentosa Golf Club.

Rory McIlroy Fights Back From Early Double To Finish Fourth In 2016 Abu Dhabi Invitational.
Rory McIlroy’s hoodoo continued in Abu Dhabi when he posted a second hole double bogey before muscling his way to fourth position in the Abu Dhabi Invitational.
McIlroy was partnered by his father, Gerry in the one-day pro-amateur format on the Yas Island Links course in the UAE capital.
Reigning US Amateur Bryson Dechambeau posted the lowest score of the day, a seven under par 65, but due his amateur status the first place prize-money was shared four ways between Frenchman Alex Levy, Thailaind’s ...
Branden Grace Full Of Praise & Also Sympathy For Crestfallen Paul Lawrie.
Back-to-back winning Branden Grace expressed both surprise and sympathy for Paul Lawrie after the Scot crashed out of contention on the final day of the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters in Doha.
Lawrie went into the last round leading by two shots and remained two clear when he birdied the first hole in bright but cold and windy conditions on the Doha Golf Club course.
However it proved the high-water mark in Lawrie’s challenge to become the first player in the 18-year history of the event to win ...

Forget the well-worn ‘Amazing Grace’ headlines as the new headline should be .. “Grace Makes It Golf’s Big-5′
This is after South African Branden Grace’s back-to-back success in the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters.
The 27-year old Grace produced a masterful display to win by two strokes with a 14-under par tally in continuing cold and windy conditions on the Doha Golf Club course.
“It’s great. I’m pretty much at a loss for words. It’s a big ...
