Royal Liverpool To Host 2022 Open Championship

The R & A has confirmed the staging of the 2022 Open (British) Championship will be held at the Royal Liverpool course and for a first occasion since 2014 when Rory McIlroy capturing a first Open title.
It will be the 13th occasion Royal Liverpool with host golf’s oldest major.
The future Open’s now are:-
2019 – Royal Portrush
2020 – Royal St. Georges
2021 – St. Andrews
2022 – Royal Liverpool
2023 – Now possibly Muirfield.

Organisers of this year’s historic Open (British) Championship in Northern Ireland fear chaos over continued Brexit uncertainty and the Irish border issue.
Golf’s oldest major is returning to the Royal Portrush course this July for a first occasion since 1951 and with the championship long ago a sell-out.
