England’s Justin Rose had every reason to be disappointed after letting slip victory in the Emirates Australian Open in Sydney. The World No. 4 shared the lead with Australia’s Peter Senior on three under par with eight holes remaining in blustery and cold conditions over the inward nine on The Lakes course. Rose, competing in only his second Australian Open since making his debut in 1998, eventually carded a final round 76 to share fourth place on one under par and three behind Senior. Senior, ...

Peter Senior handed golf’s ruling bodies further dilemna in using a long-handled putter to become the oldest-ever winner of the Australian Open. Senior becomes the first player anywhere in the world to win since details of the ban were announced. Senior defied extremely blustery conditions in Sydney to win by a shot with a final round ...

But it’s not you normal single man’s abode as the house comes with six bedrooms, nine bathrooms and it laid out on 10,083 square feet. The house also features a four-car garage and backyard putting green. Affording the house has not been too difficult for McIlroy considering he also earned ...

Queensland’s Peter Senior remains on target to become the oldest-ever winner of the Australian Open. The 53-year old Senior is just one shot from the lead after nine holes of the weather affected 97th staging of the event being played at The Lakes course in Sydney. More than three hours was lost to play due to high winds and before the leading groups, including Senior, had teed off. Fellow Australian Peter Thomson holds the record as the oldest winner of the Australia’s prestigious tournament ...

Strong winds played havoc on the final day of the Emirates Australian Open and forcing more than a 3-hour delay on the final day. Golf Australia is hopeful of a Sunday finish to the Emirates Australian Open despite a ferocious wind storm that halted play at The Lakes today. GA’s tournament director Trevor Herden suspended play at 11.43am, with the leaders still yet to hit off, after a steel television tower toppled down behind the 18th green. Fortunately, no one was injured. Gusts of up to 80 km/h ...
