Padraig Harrington On Track To Repeat What He Did 13-Years Ago – Win The Week Before The Masterss
Triple Major winning Padraig Harrington is on track to repeat what he achieved 13 years ago and that is to win the week before the Masters.
Harrington grabbed the clubhouse lead with a four under par 68 before being joined by American Billy Horschel in cold and later brighter conditions on the Greg Norman designed TPC San Antonio course.
In 2000, Harrington made his maiden Masters appearance having won the week before in capturing the second of two European Tour event staged that year in Brazil.

Ian Poulter Rips Out Air Conditioning Filters Looking To Fight Family Illness.
Ian Poulter was so concerned for his young family he had workers exchange all the air conditioining filters in his house in an effort to combat a chest infection.
Poulter and his wife, along with four children, were each struck down by the virus over the past week since last competing in the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando.

Rory McIlroy Defends Decision To Compete In Valero Texas Open
World No. 2 Rory McIlroy has strongly defended his decision to contest this week’s Valero Texas Open in San Antonio.
Three-time Masters winner, Phil Mickelson suggested last week in Houston that playing this week on the tight TPC San Antonio was not the ideal preparation for Augusta National.
However McIlroy, who has played just a dozen completed rounds of golf this year, could not disagree more.
“I don’t care if I miss 10 cuts in a row if I win a major a year,” he said.
“I don’t care. ...

Bubba Watson was a guest tonight (Tues) on CNN’s Piers Morgan’s show declaring the only way of beating Tiger Woods at next week’s Masters is if the 14-time Major winner ‘gets sick’.
Watson was first interviewed by Morgan in the days after last year’s Masters play-off success over South African Louis Oosthuizen.
However Watson’s yet to taste success since winning at the second extra play-off hole.
And when asked by Morgan how do you beat Woods next week, ...

It may have been Shane Lowry’s 26th birthday but World No. 2 Rory McIlroy was not handing out any on-course presents to Lowry during an 18-hole practice round today ahead of the Valero Texas Open.

Rory McIlroy Gives San Antonio An Augusta National Vote Of Approval.
San Antonio, Texas
World No. 2 Rory McIlroy walked from the 18th green at TPC San Antonio delivering this week’s Valero Texas Open venue an Augusta National seal of approval.
There was many quick to criticise the worth of McIlroy adding the $6.2m tournament to his schedule just a week before teeing up in the season’s first major.
But after only 12 completed rounds of golf this year what McIlroy needs most now in the little time remaining before the Masters is four rounds with a ...
