Leading British bookmaker William Hill have defending Masters champion Scottie Scheffler joint favourite with 2022 Augusta runner-up Rory McIlroy as joint favourites to capture the 87th hosting of the Masters
Scheffler and McIlroy are presently 7/1 joint favourites to be fitted with a Masters green jacket though it will be Masters official helping Scheffler into a second straight green jacket but Scheffler helping McIlroy, should McIlroy finally capture the one major that has alluded him for the past 60 major championships.
Spaniard Jon Rahm is next best at 8/1 while Aussie and Open Champion Cameron Smith is the best-priced of the LIV golfers at 20/1 while now double LIV Golf winning Brooks Koepka is 28/1 to win a maiden Masters
Of note, Tiger Woods is 60/1 to capture a sixth Masters whereas Scotland’s Sandy Lyle, and winner of the 1988 Masters and who looks almost certain to end his formal playing career later this week, is at odds of 3,000/1 to win what would be a third major.
