Scots Stephen Gallacher and David Drysdale head to weekend atop of the leaderboard in the Spanish Open in Madrid.
Gallacher added a 65 to be tied at 12-under with England’s Paul Waring (63) on the Club de Campo course.
Gallacher said: “Halfway, you’ve done not a bad job and now you need to do the same again. You’ve got some great players playing.
“The weather has been perfect and the course is in unbelievable condition, so you can shoot a low score. We’ll just see what happens. If I can play the same over the weekend, who knows.”

Drysdale, and like Gallacher aged 47, had to employ a local caddy after his wife Vicky, who works as both his caddy and manager, continues to fight a bout of food poisoning.
The Borders golfer added a five-under 66 to be tied third on 11-inder with South African Hennie Du Plessis (66).
The World No.1004 ranked Drysdale started his round from the 10th and raced into the lead with four birdies in his opening five holes, starting by holing a 24 footer at the first and capped by chipping-in from 22-yards for birdie at 12th, and his third.
Drysdale made the turn sharing the lead at 10-under and then after a run of four pars he birdied his 14th and 16th holes ahead of his only bogey in 36 holes at his last.
He said: “Very happy with my round. There’s been some mixed stuff from tee to green and some very good putting.
“Disappointing to three-putted the last, which was a bit of a shame as that was my first dropped shot in two days. But I’m very pleased to be in that position heading into the weekend”.
Drysdale’s wife was hit with food poisoning earlier in the week and while she caddied on Thursday, she was throwing-up during their round.
Dyrsdale said: “Vicky was keen to caddie but she was sick three times yesterday on the course, which was a shame, so she did well to get round.
“So, today I had a local lad who was the club champion here a couple of years ago and he helped me round today, but hopefully fingers crossed Vicky will be back in action tomorrow.
“The caddie I had is from Madrid and we were talking all the way round today. He was telling me all the places to visit, all the things to do, so that’s been pretty cool. I’ve just done my own numbers and yardages, but he’s been good company.
“Listen, there are some low scores out there. THe position I’m in this season, I just have to try and make as many birdies as I can and this golf course is going to give you a lot of opportunities.”
This week is Drysdale’S 571st DP World Tour event as the affable Scot looks to break his victory duck. He went close early in the 2020 season losing a five-hole play-off to Spaniard Jorge Campillo at the Qatar Masters. If it’s any comfort this week to Drysdale, Campillo is lying back in a share of 23rd at six-under
