Padraig Harrington’s slide down the World Rankings continues with the triple Major now just seven spots away from being ranked 100th in the world.
Harrington dropped three spots to 93rd in the world at the release of the updated rankings today, and he will need to make the cut in this week’s AT & T National Pebble Beach Pro-Am to avoid falling any further in the rankings.

Padraig Harrington needing to finish top-three this week at Pebble Beach to be assured of contesting WGC - Accenture Match Play Championship in Arizona.
Also unless Harrington can finish a likely top-three in the PGA Tour event he forfeits a last chance of contesting next fortnight’s WGC – Accenture Match Play Championship with qualifying for the top-66 ending this Sunday night.
If so, it will be the first-ever occasion since 2000 Harrington will not feature in the $US 8.5m Arizona event.
The last time Harrington was outside the top-100 in the world was in moving from 104th to 95th when finishing 10th in the 1996 European Open at the K. Club and in his maiden European Tour season.
It was among nine top-10s in his rookie Tour season that was highlighted in May 1996 with victory in the Spanish Open.
But while Harrington heads outside the top-100, Belfast’s Michael Hoey is back in the top-100 and up 13 spots to 90th after finishing 12th in last week’s Qatar Masters.
