Moynihan Birdies 108th & Final Q-School Hole To Secure Main Tour Card.

Gavin Moynihan brilliantly birdied the 108th and final hole at the European Tour Q-School to secure his main European Tour card.

It is the third time lucky for the Mt. Juliet-attached pro who missed out on qualifying the past two years.

Moynihan, however, could breath a huge sigh of relief after having dropped outside the leading 25 with bogeys at his 12th and 15th holes over the sixth and final round on the Lumine course at Tarragona in Spain.

Then at the last the 23-year old rolled in the birdie putt to lift himself into an eventual nine-way tie for 25th and the assurance of his 2018 European Tour card.

Moynihan will now join the likes of Rory McIlroy, Graeme McDowell, Padraig Harrington, Shane Lowry and good friend Paul Dunne lining-up on the Race to Dubai tour.
