The 2017 U.S. Open will now be remembered for a world first in golf.
It is the first occasion in a Major that the current World No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 have ever missed the cut in a Major since the World Rankings began in April 1989.
Dustin Johnson (73) ended at four over, World No. 2 Rory McIlroy (71) missed the cut at five over while World No. 3 Jason Day (75) was near the tail of the field at 10 over.
