Russell Knox Again Shows Fondness For Mexico – Third In OHL Mayakoba Classic.

Scotland’s top-ranked Russell Knox again showed his fondness for Mexico muscling his way to third place in the OHL Mayakoba Classic.

Knox, who had lost out in a play-off in the event a year ago, grabbed seven birdies in a closing five under par 67 for an 18-under tally in the event dubbed ‘Mexico’s Major’.

“I played really well even though I was not all that comfortable out there but to make seven birdies, and with just the two bogeys I would have taken that at the start of the day,” he said,

“I thought if I got to 20-under I might have a chance but I’m pleased I shot a good Sunday score.”
