French golfing ace Victor Dubuisson continues to stake his claims for European Ryder Cup selection in knocking 2012 Masters champion Bubba Watson out of the WGC – Accenture Match-Play Championship in Arizona.
Watson came into the $9m event having posted a pair of weekend 64s to win last weeks PGA Tour Northern Trust Open.
However the Bagdad-born Watson had no answer for the quietly-spoken Frenchman losing 1 up.

Dubuisson, who broke through to capture last year’s inaugural Turkish Airlines Open, had earlier defeated American Kevin Streelman before bundling out Sweden’s double Ryder Cup star Peter Hanson.
In his match against Watson he went 2up after just two holes and despite losing the third he found himself 3 up after 14 holes before his opponent won the 15th and 17th holes.
However Dubuisson hung on to win the match with both player paring the last to hand the Frenchman a 1 up victory and a Saturday morning showdown with reigning Volvo World Match-Play champion Graeme McDowell.
