Stephen Gallacher – Augusta National Open Front Gates Open – With His Dubai Victory.

The front gates of Augusta National will open in April for Scotland’s Stephen Gallacher.

That is one of the many rewards for Gallacher following his stunning 25th anniversary Dubai Desert Classic victory.

Here is a list of Gallacher’s achievements, rewards and the opportunities that lay ahead.

* His third European Tour victory in his 431st event

* His 27th event since winning last year’s Dubai Desert Classic.

* First person to successfully defend Dubai Desert Classic.

* First Scot since Colin Montgomerie (1999 & 2000 BMW PGA) to successfully defend the same event.

* Gains European Tour exemption to end of 2016

* Earns a prize cheque of £249,991.

* Wins an Omega Seamaster wrist watch.

* Presented with Life Membership of the Emirates Golf Club along with a specially commissioned silver coin and $US 25,000 as being part of the 25th anniversary ‘Former Champions Challenge’.

* Gains an automatic place into 2014 $US 9m WGC – Bridgestone Invitational , 2014 $US 8.5m WGC – HSBC Champions, 2015 Volvo Champions.

* Being inside top-50 World Rankings – will obtain invitation into 2014 Masters (First appearance), 2014 US Open (Third appearance), The Open (Seventh appearance), PGA Championship (Fifth appearance).

* Will qualify among top-64 in world to contest February 19th starting $9m WGC – Accenture Match-Play in Arizona.

*  Will qualify automatically for next month’s $US 9m WGC- Cadillac Championship at Doral, Florida.

* Will qualify automatically for March 28th commencing EurAsia Cup (Europe-v-Asian) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

* Moves to a career high of 37th in the World Rankings (To be confirmed later today – Monday).  Previous best of 56th following 3rd place in 2013 Portugal Masters.

* Secured his fourth top-5 in the Desert Classic – won in 2013 and 2014, runner-up in 2012 and 4th in 2000.
