We only managed to spend a day-and-a-half in Zhengzhou but it was very enjoyable and also very eye-opening.
The city, pronouced Chengchow, is the capital of the Henan province in north-central China.
It serves as the political, economic, technological, and educational centre of the province, as well as a major transportation hub for Central China. The city lies on the southern bank of the Yellw River and is one of the Eight Ancient Capitals of China.
Zhengzhou boasts a populatoin of some 9 million but has just three golf courses with one being Jinsha Lake and venue for Monday’s ‘Duel at Jinsha Lake’.
Here is a selection of photographs from our very brief visit.
