Harrington Books Seat In Next Week’s BMW Championship.

Triple Major winning Padraig Harrington kept his FedEx Cup Play Off Series alive with a final round 67 in the Deutscher Bank Championship at TPC Boston.

It means the Dubliner is through to Thursday’s starting BMW Championship and the third leg of the Series.

Harrington commenced the final round  in Boston well down the board on six over par and also 63rd in the FedEx Cup standings with just the top-70 on the money list starting in the BMW.

But after a superb final round 67 that included three birdies over his closing five holes Harrington can pack his bags for the Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana.

It was this course in 1991 that John Daly burst onto the international golf stage in capturing the PGA Championship.

Harrington’s final round playing partner and fellow Irishman Graeme McDowell suffered another disappointing round, shooting a one over par 72, to finish on seven over for the tournament.

Despite this he too will be in action in the BMW Championship.
