Angry-looking black clouds rolling in from the west and north halted Rory McIlroy’s sparking start to the third round of the 94th PGA Championship at Kiawah Island.
McIlroy had picked up five shots in eight holes before taking a bogey at the ninth to be then sharing the lead at six under par with Fijian Vigay Singh, who at age 49 years is looking to become the oldest-ever Major Champion.
Officials are hoping the poor moves through the area quickly however that was looking positive and with the prospect of play being abandoned for the day and restarting just after 7pm Sunday morning local time.
