Lucky Thirteen Major Champs Teeing-Up 72nd Hosting BMW PGA At Tour HQ

In one of the best fields in the later stages of the 2026 DP World Tour season as there will be 13 major champions teeing-up later this week in the 72nd hosting of the BMW PGA Championship at Tour HQ at Wentworth in leafy Surrey.

The 13 boast 24 majors between them and include in order of entry category:

Patrick Reed, JJ Spaun, Rory McIlroy, Francesco Molinari, Ryan Fox, Jon Rahm, Aaron Rai, Shane Lowry, Brooks Koepka, Justin Rose, Adam Scott, Padraig Harrington and Danny Willett.

Though when it comes to BMW PGA Championship titles and past winners competing this week in the $US 9m event over the famed West Course this year’s tournament also includes nine past event winners:

Ryan Fox (2023), Shane Lowry (2022), Tyrrell Hatton (2020), Danny Willett (2019), Francesco Molinari (2018), Alex Noren (2025, 2017), Rory McIlroy (2014), Matteo Manassero (2013) and Luke Donald (2012, 2011).

Of note, the only player of note missing this year is recent double Wentworth champion in Billy Horschell who captured the trophy in both 2024 and 2021.
