Lee Westwood Wins Nordea Masters For Third Swedish Success & European Tour Victory Number 22.

Lee Westwood is heading to next week’s U.S. Open in the best possible form with his easy stroll to success in the Nordea Masters in Sweden.

Westwood was in a class of his own all week posting a final round 69 to win by five strokes with a 19-under par tally.

It is Westwood’s third Nordea Masters (fomerly known as the Scandinavian Masters) success and his 22nd European Tour victory toast.

And just when his rivals thought they had a chance of turning the table on the Worksop golfing wonder Westwood put daylight between himself and the field when he holed a 10-foot eagle putt at the par five 12th hole.

Unfortunately, Westwood will remain at No. 3 in the world with the world ranking points not sufficent for him to go past World No. 2 Rory McIlroy.

Fellow England player and Ryder Cup colleague, Ross Fisher bounched back from last week’s controversial ‘bad timing’ penalty to grab second place with a last day 71 for a 14-under par total.
