Decent Start For Home Hero As Chinese Teenager Stands Tall Austrian Alpine Open.

It has been a decent start for Sepp Staka in his quest to taste success not only for a first occasion on the DP World Tour but also a first pro victory on home soil following day one of the Austrian Alpine Open at the picturesque Golfclub Kitzbühel-Schwarzsee-Reith at Kitzbühel, Austria

Straka, a four-time PGA Tour champion, kick-started his round in grear manner thanks to three birdies in succession from the second hole and though posting bogeys at the fifth and sixth holes he grouped to birdie seventh and the nine holes ahead nine closing pars.

The effort of the present World No. 18th ranked player, and among only three players inside the top 100, has him lying just inside the leading 40.

China’s 18-year-old sensation Yanhan Zhou, and ranked 221 spots lower than Straka, leads the way in Austria thanks to a closing hole eagle ‘3’ along with seven birdies in his impressive eight-under 62 on the par-70 layout and lead the field by a shot.
