Scotland’s Ewen Ferguson savoured the delight of sharing the lead early on the opening day of the Turkish Airlines Open.
Ferguson picked-up six birdies in a five-under 67 to be tied at the top with Spaniard Alejandro Del Ray as the afternoon half of the field took the host Gloria course at Antalya/
The three-time Tour winning Ferguson was off to a great start from the 10th tee thanks to back-to-back birdies and then moved to three-under after he birdied the 14th.
Ferguson dropped the only shot of his round at the 16th but ended his nine holes with birdies on 17 and 18 to be four under ahead of picking-up just the one birdie, at the par-4 seventh hole on his inward nine.
