German, Swiss & Austian Golf Fans To Benefit From New LIV Golf & Asian Tour Deal With SKY Sports

German-based fans of the Martin Kaymer Cleeks GC team are in for a treat with news LIV Golf has signed a broadcast deal with SKY Sports in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

No sooner were golf fans advised of a new TV agreement in the UK, and LIV Golf has now announced this added new deal with SKY.

The broadcaster has sealed the rights to show live coverage from both the LIV Golf League and selected Asian Tour events in the three neighbouring European nations.

  • All LIV Golf League events and significant Asian Tour events to be broadcast on Sky Sport beginning in 2026 – totalling almost 600 hours of world-class golf live annually
  • Martin Kaymer, Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton, Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, Joaquin Niemann, and many more of the world’s most elite players to be covered live on Sky Sport Golf
  • Hans Gabbe: “With the long-term exclusive rights to all four men’s majors, the rights to all important women’s events and, from now on, the LIV Golf League and Asian Tour, Sky Sport Golf will continue to be the number one destination for all golf fans in Germany.”
  • The separate agreements with LIV Golf and the Asian Tour include broadcasting via all distribution channels in Germany, Austria and Switzerland

Unterföhring – Sky Deutschland has secured extensive live rights to LIV Golf and the Asian Tour, covering all distribution channels in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. As part of the agreements, Sky Sport will broadcast all LIV Golf events and significant Asian Tour events live in 2026 – totalling at least 30 events and nearly 600 hours of live coverage annually.

LIV Golf, the global golf league blending world-class competition with entertainment and culture to grow the game worldwide, will deliver a 2026 Season featuring 14 events across ten countries and five continents; including its first-ever event in South Africa (March 19-22). Sky Sport’s coverage of the 2026 LIV Golf Season will commence February 4-7 with ROSHN Group LIV Golf Riyadh, live from Saudi Arabia, and continue through events in Adelaide, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico, USA, the UK and more. Sky Sport’s partnership begins with live coverage of the 2026 LIV Golf Promotions event, January 9-11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Florida, where a globally diverse field of nearly 80 players will compete for three highly coveted Wild Card positions in the 2026 LIV Golf League season.

Hans Gabbe, Senior Vice President Sports Rights & Commercialisation at Sky Deutschland: “With long-term exclusive rights to all four men’s majors, comprehensive coverage of the most significant women’s events, and the addition of the LIV Golf League and the Asian Tour, Sky Sport Golf will continue to be the leading destination for golf fans in Germany.

“LIV Golf’s global schedule and distinctive team and individual competition format offer fans access to the world’s leading, legendary, and emerging golf stars across iconic venues and diverse international markets. In the year ahead, our customers can look forward to innovatively produced events and engagement with many of the world’s most compelling players.”

“Partnering with Sky Germany reflects our continued focus on expanding LIV Golf’s reach, in alignment with Sky Sport’s broader commitment to delivering premium golf coverage, and providing fans across the region access to world-class players and many of the most exciting young talents in the game,” said Örjan Olsson, SVP, International Media Rights at LIV Golf.

“This collaboration underscores our shared commitment to growing the sport and reaching new audiences, alongside one of the world’s leading golf broadcast partners. Viewers can expect dynamic storytelling, elite competition, and a fresh, elevated way to connect with golf.”

Via the new rights agreements, golf fans can consistently follow a premier global field featuring many of the world’s leading players, including Ryder Cup stars Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, and Tyrrell Hatton, alongside Masters champions Sergio García, Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed and Phil Mickelson. The League also showcases an emerging generation of global talent, including Joaquin Niemann, Tom McKibbin, David Puig, Josele Ballester and Caleb Surratt. German audiences will once again enjoy consistent coverage of Martin Kaymer, the country’s most recent men’s major champion, live on Sky Sport Golf.

The LIV Golf League uniquely blends individual and team-based competition, creating compelling storylines as players pursue personal victory while contributing to their team’s event and season-long ambitions. Thirteen teams contest events played over four rounds and 72 holes, with the League’s signature shotgun start initiating play simultaneously across the entire course. This format maximizes pace and narrative momentum, delivering a high-tempo broadcast experience that offers fans significantly more live action than traditional golf broadcasts, all within a four-to-five-hour window.

The LIV Golf League adds further intrigue through a distinctive and highly competitive promotion and relegation structure, creating season-long intensity across both individual and team competitions. That pathway is directly supported by the Asian Tour through its International Series — a set of elite global events that provide a defined route into the LIV Golf League. Broadcast live by Sky Sport, Asian Tour events feature world-class international fields while offering players the opportunity to earn coveted places in LIV Golf, establishing a clear, merit-based connection between international competition and the world’s golf league.

Sky Sport’s current offering of more than 1,000 hours of live golf coverage each year is further strengthened by the addition of LIV Golf and the Asian Tour, expanding its portfolio of international events, innovative broadcast formats, and a world-leading, globally-diverse field. With the four men’s majors, Sky Sport will broadcast the world’s biggest tournaments live and exclusively on a long-term basis. With the US Senior Open, the Senior PGA Championship and the ISPS Handa Open, the three most important senior majors are also part of the programme. In addition, Sky Sport will show all major women’s tournaments in 2026, including the Solheim Cup, all five women’s majors, the Ladies PGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour. The Tomorrow Golf League rounds off Sky Sport’s golf offering.

All golf broadcasts on Sky Sport can be received on the Sky Stream TV platform. The prerequisite for this is booking the Sky Sport package (sky.de/stream). With the WOW streaming service, fans can experience LIV Golf and all other Sky Sport broadcasts flexibly (wowtv.de).
