Tiger Woods was asked ahead of this week’s Hero World Challenge if he’s been approached to captain the 2027 USA Ryder Cup captaincy.

Of course, Tiger has acted as a winning USA Presidents Cup captain while he’s also been a USA Ryder Cup vice-captain.

However asked if he could be available for Adare Manor in 2027 his smiling response was very much to the point.

“No-one has asked me about it”, he said.

A member of the media responded:  “Well, I’m asking you.”

Woods then went silent before being asked if he watched TV coverage of the events at Bethpage Park.

“I watched pretty much all of it. I was also talking the players, the captains involved and everyone involved in it …. on the US side”,
