Koepka Returns Home Buoyed By Dunhill Season Best, Eagerly Looking Forward To Next Year’s St. Andrews Open.

Five-time major winning Brooks Koepka headed home pleased with his share of sixth in the Alfred Dunhill Links ahead of his next appearance at the Home of Golf – the 155th Open Championship.

Koepka again delighted Scottish fans in producing his best result in just over a year after securing a share of fourth in the 2025 FedEx Open de France.

The Florida golfer’s strong Dunhill showing has lifted to World No. 108 on the World Rankings though still a long way from the pinnacle of the ranking six-years ago this month in capturing the CJ Cup @ Nine Bridges to go to No. 1 in the world.

A year earlier captured a first major championship at the 2017 U.S. Open, which spearheaded a streak of major victories. He successfully defended his title at the 2018 U.S. Open, and won both the 2018 and 2019 PGA Championship titles.

In 2022, Koepka joined LIV Golf. In the following years, he won multiple LIV Golf events and added his fifth major championship at the 2023 PGA Championship. He left the LIV Golf League and returned to the PGA Tour in 2026.

When it comes to the Open Championship, Koepka made his debut in golf’s oldest major in missing the cut in 2013 at Muirfield.

He contested the 2015 Open at St. Andrews finishing a credible share of 10th though missed the cut when The Open returned to the Home of Golf in 2022, and while Koepka has the three US based major championships to contest in 2027 before again crossing ‘The Pond’, he’s very much looking forward to the teeing-up in the 155th Open Championship.

“It was again a cool week for me and being able to travel back to Scotland with my wife and our son was quite special and I could hear singing out ‘Go dadda, Go dadda, go’ and that was pretty cool”, said Koepka.

“It was a great last round and pretty special to eagle both nine and the last capped a really good week and a super result for me. I could have putted a bit better and overall it was a round that could have been.  I’m making progress on the putter but it’s still not where I’d like it to be.

“It was interesting playing the course this year, given there has been a few changes.

“I love playing this tournament and I just love this town.  It’s also why I just enjoy so much playing this event and particularly knowing I will be next year given the Open is returning to the Old Course.

“As well, it would be nice to be able to place the Claret Jug beside the other major championship trophies I’ve won.

“So, that’s going to make it even extra special coming back next July”.

Koepka also headed home uncertain if there will be any other tournaments he’ll contest in what is left of season 2026 though there is suggestions he may team with his father, Bob for the December 17th to 20th PNC Father and Son event in suburban Orlando.

It was Bob who introduced his two sons, Brooks and Chase to the ancient club-and-ball game.
