As well, his efforts in being mentioned as a possible Race to Dubai No. 1 champion has endeared himself to golf fans the world over.

“Yeah, it’s been the year of my life. To have won three times and to be in contention as much as I have done, my game has improved so much, and I feel very proud of myself and everyone involved for helping me get to where I am today,” said Penge

“This week obviously was disrupted at the start of the week. On Thursday, I didn’t feel great. But as soon as I got off the meds on Friday, I played some really good golf. I’m proud of myself with how I’ve battled back into the week and finished the year with a decent result”.

Penge will head home for a short stay ahead of travelling to Australia first to Brisbane for the November 27th commencing co-sanctioned BMW Australian PGA and a week later he will tee-up in Melbourne for the prestigous Australian Open title.

Both Aussie events herald the start of the wraparound 2026 DP World Tour season.

There will then be a joyer than joyus Festive Season break and with the 2026 proper at Penge’s feet.

“Yeah, I’m looking forward to playing the big events over on that side of the pond,” he said.

“Obviously looking forward to playing in all majors next year and play against the best players in the world like we are this week. The standard is different when you’re playing against the best guys.

“I will miss it here. I’ll miss the players, the staff, just the Tour in general. This is where I’ve started and a place I’m not going to for get. Hopefully I’ll be playing as much as I can back on the DP World Tour when that season is finished. It won’t be the last time you see me”.

Well said Marco and see you ‘Down Under”.
