  • Fifth TOUR Championship appearance and his third consecutive (best finish: T6/2023)
  • Seven top-10s this season are his second-highest total on TOUR since 2017-18 (9/2023)
  • One of two players in the field without a victory on the PGA TOUR (other: Jacob Bridgeman); there has never been a first-time TOUR winner at the TOUR Championship (since 1987)

Harris English

  • Making his fourth career TOUR Championship appearance and first since 2021
  • Four top-10s in 20 starts this season, including his fifth career PGA TOUR title at the Farmers Insurance Open, runner-up finishes at the PGA Championship and The Open Championship, and a T4 at the Travelers Championship
  • Best career finish in the FedExCup: 12th/2019-20

TOUR Championship notes:

  • Beginning this year, Starting Strokes will be eliminated as the TOUR Championship will be played as a 72-hole stroke-play event, with all players starting the tournament at even par and the winner claiming the FedExCup.
  • The $40 million purse at the TOUR Championship ($10 million to the winner) will count as Official Money for the first time since 2018
  • Six past FedExCup Champions are in the field: Scottie Scheffler (2024), Viktor Hovland (2023), Rory McIlroy (2016, 2019, 2022), Patrick Cantlay (2021), Justin Rose (2018), Justin Thomas (2017); three former FedExCup Champions enter the week inside the top five in the FedExCup standings (No. 1/Scottie Scheffler, No. 2/Rory McIlroy, No. 4/Justin Rose)
  • Seven players are making their TOUR Championship debut this week:
    • J.J. Spaun (No. 3), Ben Griffin (No. 7), Maverick McNealy (No. 10), Andrew Novak (No. 15), Harry Hall (No. 26), Jacob Bridgeman (No. 27), Chris Gotterup (No. 29)
  • 2018 FedExCup Champion Justin Rose entered the playoffs ranked 25th in the standings and now sits No. 4 following a win at the FedEx St. Jude Championship and T30 at the BMW Championship
  • Cameron Young is making his second TOUR Championship appearance (2022/19th); claimed his maiden victory on TOUR at the 2025 Wyndham Championship, becoming the 1,000th unique winner in PGA TOUR history

FedExCup Playoffs:

  • Despite not winning an event this season, eight players earned a two-year exemption on TOUR (thru 2027 season) by advancing to the TOUR Championship: Tommy Fleetwood (No. 5), Maverick McNealy (No. 10), Corey Conners (No. 19), Shane Lowry (No. 24), Harry Hall (No. 26), Jacob Bridgeman (No. 27), Sungjae Im (No. 28), Akshay Bhatia (No. 30)
  • Three players in the field finished inside the top 10 in each of the first two FedExCup Playoffs events: Scottie Scheffler (T3-1st), Tommy Fleetwood (T4-T3), Ludvig Åberg (T9-T7).
  • Of the 12 first-time winners in 2025, 10 qualified for the FedExCup Playoffs, with three advancing to the TOUR Championship: Ben Griffin/Andrew Novak (Zurich Classic of New Orleans), Cameron Young (Wyndham Championship)
  • No 2025 rookies qualified for the TOUR Championship this season; of the 35 rookies on TOUR this season, South Africa’s Aldrich Potgieter was the only one to qualify for the playoffs (No. 52 in the FedExCup standings)The FedExCup Bonus Distribution total is $100 million, with the FedExCup Champion earning $10 million
    • The top 70 players in the FedExCup standings are fully exempt for all Full-Field Events and THE PLAYERS Championship in 2026
    • The top 50 players are exempt for all Signature Events in 2026
    • The top 30 players receive a two-year exemption and invitations to majors that traditionally recognize the top 30
