The Tiger Woods designed Bluejack National located just north of Houston took a big step forward recently with the opening of a further two holes so that nine holes of the course is open to members.
“The back nine is complete and has been finished construction-wise,” said Casey Paulson, President of Bluejack National and as reported in The Montgomery County Courier newspaper.
The Courier continued highlighting the course has a golf performance center called The Place where golfers can go and practice their swings or grab a bite to eat at the bar and grill. But developments in the near future hope to draw even more members and make Bluejack National a haven for golfers.
“We’ll have amenities that are going to open up over the next four or five years,” Paulson said. “We’ll keep building and going as we grow.”
Some of those include The Fort, which includes an outdoor activities area kids or people of all ages can enjoy, a pool, bar and grill, game barn, tree house, skate park and even a football field. He said they hope to have that opened in late summer.
The club will also include a clubhouse, but Paulson described the building as a three-part non-traditional structures with social, dining and fitness areas as well as a conference room.
But course and amenity development aren’t the only things Paulson hopes will draw potential members. The company is in the process of constructing more than 20 various types of residences, including cottages, Sunday homes and member suites.
“We’re thrilled,” Paulson said. “This property improves every day and looks better every day.”
Though memberships are invite-only, Paulson said those who live in the residences get a $30,000 discount from the normal membership of $90,000.
“Member referrals are certainly important for us,” Paulson said. “If people show interest in the real estate and come out and take a look and learn more about the club, that’s another way we get to meet people and extend invitations. We have really great members that have joined so far. We’re very pleased about all of them. They have a unique demographic, and they’re really friendly people. We’re off to a really nice start.”
www.golfbytourmiss.com had been delighted to the opening of the course last April during Shell Houston Open week and we’re very much looking forward to inspecting the course this coming April.
