Rookie Pro Moynihan Prepares For Q-School & Irish Challenge.

Rookie pro Gavin Moynihan has returned home for a belated 21st birthday celebration before heading to Portugal and the goal of winning his European Tour card.
Moynihan’s first taste in the pro ranks ended with rounds of 73 and 76 for a five over par tally and miss the cut by nine shots in the Italian Open, and his first event as a pro.

In fact, he had turned 21 on the first day of the event at Monza.

“I just didn’t play good today at all and just pushed a bit too hard over the back nine,” he said.

“I did have a few good chances but while I am a little disappointed, it was some good practice for the Tour School the week after next.
“I was looking forward so much to this week but just didn’t play good enough, and just wasn’t my week.
“I’ll work on my game this coming week and hope to do well at Q-School”.
Moynihan will travel to Lisbon for the September 29th start to the First Stage while he’s revealed he will contest the October 8th commencing Irish Challenge on the secondary Challenge Tour at Mount Wolseley in Carlow.
