Davis Love 111 Elected Chairman Players Advisory Council & A Week Before 2016 Captaincy Role.

In a prelude to him being named next Tuesday as 2016 Ryder Cup captain and PGA Tour players have voted Davis Love III as Chairman of the Player Advisory Council (PAC).
The 16-member PAC advises and consults with the PGA TOUR Policy Board (Board of Directors) and Commissioner Tim Finchem on issues affecting the TOUR.
Love, who prevailed over Webb Simpson and Kevin Streelman for PAC Chairman, will succeed Harrison Frazar on the PGA TOUR Policy Board in 2016 and will a serve a three-year term (2016-2018) as a Player Director along with Bo Van Pelt (2014-16), Mark Wilson (2014-16) and Jason Bohn (2015-17).

Next year will mark the start of Love’s fifth stint as a member of the TOUR Policy Board.

A Lifetime Member of the PGA TOUR with 20 victories, Love has played for the United States on six Presidents Cup teams and six Ryder Cup teams, and he served as Captain for the Ryder Cup team in 2012. Love resides in Sea Island, Georgia, where he hosts the McGladrey Classic, an official PGA TOUR event, at Sea Island Golf Club.
The PGA TOUR announced the 16 players serving on the PAC for 2015 on January 16: Love,
Tom Gillis, Jason Gore, Charley Hoffman, Billy Hurley III, Freddie Jacobson, Matt Kuchar, Scott Langley, Will MacKenzie, Geoff Ogilvy, John Senden, Webb Simpson, Heath Slocum, Kevin Streelman, Brendon Todd and David Toms.
