Europe will go into the deciding Sunday Singles needing to earn just 4 1/2 points from a possible 12 to capture the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles.
After the USA Team moved to just a point behind at 6 1/2 to 5 1/2 following this morning’s Fourballs it was Paul McGinley’s European Team that dominated the afternoon Foursomes winning 3 1/2 points to the Americans 1/2 point.
It sees Europe leading 10 points to 6.
Stars for a second afternoon running was the combination of Welshman Jamie Donaldson and Lee Westwood who remain undefeated after silencing rivals Matt Kuchar and Zach Johnson 2 & 1.
As well, the combination of French rookie Victor Dubuisson and double French Open champion Graeme McDowell crushed the Americans Rickie Fowler and Jimmy Walker 5 & 4.
Dubuisson and McDowell were 5up after just eight holes and now have both Foursome matches.
