Kris Broberg, Tyrrell Hatton & Scott Jamieson Qualify For The Open.

Sweden’s Kristoffer Broberg made amends in missing out last month in Ireland by qualifying as the leading player following the close of the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open.

Broberg had been third at Fota Island but missed out on a Royal Liverpool tee time on the basis of having a lower World Ranking.

However the Swede will now contest a first Major by finishing runner-up to Justin Rose in the Scottish Open.

And England’s Tyrrell Hatton and Scotland’s Scot Jamieson secured the other two places.

Hatton was fourth at 10-under par while Jamieson finished in a three-way share of eighth place with American Rickie Fowler and Sweden’s Robert Karlsson.

But as both Fowler and Karlsson are already exempt Jamieson now joins a big field of nine Scots who will contest golf’s oldest major.
