The credibility of the Golf Channel’s Brandel Chamblee is in shambles after he apologised in insinuating 14-time Major winning Tiger Woods was a cheat.
The red-faced failed former Tour pro should stick to TV commentary with Chamblee’s attempt at the written word resulting in an absoulte shambles.

Chamblee penned an article singling out a number of players including Woods for school grades and looking to compare four rules incidents involving Woods this year with a clear case of cheating when Chamblee was a 14-year old high school student.
The article suggested Woods was ‘cavalier’ about the Rules of Golf that led to a barrage of abuse levelled at Chamblee and with Woods long-time agent Mark Steinberg, who threatened a lawsuit, stating: ‘I can’t think of anything worse than calling someone a cheater. This is one of the most deplorable things I have seen”.
Not surprisingly Chamblee has been left to choke on his own article and going on Twitter to say: “What brought me here was the realisation that my comments inflamed an audience on two sides of an issue.
‘Golf is a gentleman’s game and I’m not proud of this debate. I want to apologise to Tiger for this incited discourse. My intention was to note Tiger’s rules infractions this year, but comparing that to cheating in grade school went too far.
“I want to apologize to Tiger for this incited discourse.”
It’s not the first time Chamblee has been to forced to swallow humble pie and probably won’t be the last for this once little-known and one-time former Tour winner.
