Rafa Cabrera-Bello Delights Kingsbarns Primary School Pupils.

Spanish golfer Rafa Cabrera-Bello delighted youngsters today when he visited the Kingsbarns Primary School.

The Omega Dubai Desert Classic champion is one of the stars of this week’s Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and will be competing at nearby Kingsbarns and one of three venues playing host to the $US 5m event.

Rafa entertained questions from the inquisitive pupils including revealing his favourite meal is steak and potatoes in a special sauce from the Canary Islands.

The Spaniard also told the Kingsbarns pupils he’s not superstitious, and rates Pebble Beach as his favourite course, although he loves playing at Kingsbarns too.

Cabrera-Bello is contesting the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship for a fourth straight year with his best finish being fourth on debut in 2009.

The affable Gran Canaria born Cabrera-Bello only just missed out on Ryder Cup selection and has not set himself the goal not only winning this week in Scotland but returning to Dubai in November and become the second straight Spaniard behind Alvaro Quiros to win the ‘Dubai Double’.
