Victorious 2010 Ryder Cup captain, Colin Montgomerie and legendary coach, Butch Harmon have collectively slammed the decision by USA Team captain, Davis Love 111 to send out struggling Tiger Woods in the afternoon Fourballs.
Woods was nothing short of atrocious in the morning Foursomes and putting his partner, Steve Stricker in places around the Medinah course that could not be found on any stroke saver.

The 14-time Major Champion played so poorly that Monty said Woods should have been hauled off at nine holes.
“I can’t understand Davis Love’s decision to send out Tiger this afternoon and is it so he can find his game because he can’t find it on the range,” said Monty.
“If he is trying to find his game, he (Woods) shouldn’t be playing to the Singles”.
Harmon supported Monty saying: “I would not have sent him out and I was actually very surprised to see Davis putting Tiger out again.
“I understand he is Tiger Woods but he was about as poor as I have ever seen him play.
“No doubt Captain Love has a feeling of the way he wants to play his team and he wants to do it his way but all of here in the studio when we saw Woods and Stricker to be paired again in the Fourballs, we were really surprised.”
It was suggested to Monty and Harmon that maybe Love does not have the authority to deal with Woods and hence Woods going out again this afternoon.
Monty responded: “You would think he has and besides he has good people behind him, as well. So there is no question of the captaincy.
“I would have rested Tiger Woods this afternoon, no question at all.
“And I would have been strong enough to do that as it’s a team event and Woods is part of a 12-man team, but there is four other guys on the bench this afternoon who playing much better than Tiger Woods is.”
And while Monty was extremely critical of Love’s decision he added that unless Woods delivers this afternoon then the American captain has no other option to stand Woods down for the first time in his Ryder Cup career.
“When Woods loses it changes the mood of the spectators as they expect Tiger to win and if Tiger doesn’t perform this afternoon then Love has no option than to stand Woods down from the morning matches,” added Monty.
