The selection of England’s Ian Poulter and Belgium’s Nicolas Colsaerts are the overwhelming favourites among the European Tour rank-and-file members to be awarded Medinah ‘wildcard’ picks.
European Team captain, Jose Maria Olazabal will announce his two picks at high noon Monday in the stately Gleneagles Hotel.

However a survey of players competing in this week’e Johnnie Walker Championship believe Olazabal will pick Poulter and Colsaerts who are currently ranked 11th and 12th on the European Team points table.

All but two of the 16 players (among them legendary coach, Bob Torrance) canvassed, and they’re both Irish, picked Poulter and Colsaerts.
NB – The names in brackets is the players second choice should Colsaerts finish first or second at Gleneagles and automatically qualify.
